At MediaCast, we specialise in delivering impactful campaigns that cut through. From raising funds to raising awareness, some of our most meaningful work sits within the not-for-profit and charity sector.

We also recognise that not every organisation has the budget to invest in public relations year-round – or in some cases, at all. That’s why we created Pro Bono for Purpose: a dedicated initiative designed to give selected organisations access to strategic media support that helps amplify their message and build momentum.

About the Program

MediaCast’s Pro Bono for Purpose charity grant offers not-for-profits and charities the opportunity to build momentum through high-impact media relations campaigns.

Grants include:

  • Funding support valued at $5,000 or $10,000
  • Full or partial coverage of a media relations campaign
  • Strategic campaign planning and execution
  • Access to MediaCast’s award-winning media relations experts
  • Campaign delivery across radio, TV, print, and online media

The program is designed to help organisations tell their story across radio, television, print, and digital media – increasing awareness, driving engagement, and supporting meaningful outcomes.

Selected recipients receive access to MediaCast’s award-winning media relations team, who collaborate closely to design and deliver a tailored communications campaign that maximises reach and impact.

Every grant is designed to ensure resources go further, helping organisations achieve maximum visibility with the budget available. Pro Bono for Purpose will be returning in 2027.

Program Growth

Since its inception in 2024, Pro Bono for Purpose has grown from a small initiative into a structured, high-impact program with increasing demand from across the not-for-profit sector.

Each year, we continue to see:

  • Increased demand from not-for-profits and charities
  • More diverse and impactful campaign opportunities
  • Expanded national media reach across broadcast and digital channels
  • Stronger engagement and awareness outcomes for supported organisations
This growth reflects both the need for accessible communications support and the impact that strategic storytelling can deliver when applied to purpose-driven causes.
